Companies in the News

It's been a good couple of weeks for portfolio or "advisee" companies.

Jeremy Levine of StarStreet, the sports star stock market, was one of the featured entrepreneurs at Angel Boot Camp. He provided some insights as to what he was looking for from his investors (in my case, just money, since I'm not a fantasy sports jock).

MITX held their Innovation Awards ceremony on June 16th. Several of "my companies" were finalists, and two of them won awards. Netblazr, co-founded by my friend Jim Hanley, won "Best Bootstrapped Start-Up." AisleBuyer came away with one of two "PwC Promise Awards." Congratulations to both!

This week's Mass High Tech magazine featured squibs about Bettina Hein of Pixability (she sold her previous company to Nuance), two about AisleBuyer (landed a new round of funding and moved into new digs), and an article about U for Life.

Well done, everyone!
